Sergej Sitki

Sergej Sitki

Sergej Sitki is the founder of ReceptionGO. Nine years ago he and his family opened a property that today has three apartments, six rooms with a shared kitchen and a small hostel — around 40 guests at a time. It is in Slovenia, so the Australian rules differ, but the week looks familiar: who is in the room, what the council or the revenue office wants, a bond, a review, and a guest who lands after midnight.

Over those years he switched channel managers five times and did the guest admin by hand. No single tool covered all of it, so he started designing his own. The story is in Nine years to freedom.

On this blog he writes about arrivals, keys, guest messages, channels and commissions. State rules he describes from the legislation and the official guidance of planning departments, fair trading, the ATO and state revenue offices, always with sources and the date he checked them. Recheck those pages before you rely on a rate.
